Tech Lead - Testing

We are looking for a Tech Lead – Testing to deliver quality products by designing end to end test strategy for functional and non-functional requirements.

As part of the role, you will:

  • Work closely with Architects and other Tech Leads to create, manage, and implement test strategies, test plans, roadmaps, and radar.
  • Provide technical challenge and direction on test design, performance testing and information security.
  • Manage multiple environments and overseeing integration in line with project milestones.
  • Influence the adoption of best practice, tools and processes across teams and projects.
  • Develop a full documentation set for testing, including Test Policy, Strategy and Plans.
  • Develop and implement test automation intelligently.
  • Working with our People Managers to coordinate and deliver knowledge transfer and training.

This role will report to the Heads of Software Development while working day-to-day across multiple Scrum teams.

You will have relevant work experience and knowledge built over several years in a testing role including design of testing practices, dynamic testing and test automation, White box and Black box testing, functional and non-functional testing. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and different methodologies and experience of writing test plans, automated testing tools e.g., SpecFlow, experience of SQL and/or XML, MS DevOps and/or Jira /Confluence, experience of Object-oriented programming, ideally C#/.Net and ISEB/ISTQB Advanced Certification in Software Testing are essential for this role. 


The salary range for this post is £36,001 - £45,000 dependant on skills and experience. We offer an attractive package with initially 25 days leave, increasing to 30 days, plus bank holidays and extra Agency shutdown at Christmas; holiday buy/sell scheme, flexible working including remote and home working options; pension scheme and occupational health support.
