Data Quality Analyst - 3-month FTC

We are looking for an individual to support the quality assurance process for HESA’s Student, Staff and Aggregate Offshore data collections. In this role you will be reviewing quality reports for data submitted to HESA and highlighting potential data quality issues.

To make a real contribution to the quality of data being collected by HESA, you will get involved in:

  • Reviewing data as it is collected, according to checking procedures, to identify to Higher Education Providers where data quality improvements may be required.
  • Reviewing the data collected and available contextual information to make recommendations to improve data quality and identifying opportunities to innovate.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with other data quality analysts and members of the Liaison team.
  • Organising and planning own work to meet agreed deadlines.

You will be educated to higher education level, or have equivalent work experience, and you should be highly numerate and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication. Additionally, as this is a very busy team, good time management and organisational skills are essential. You should be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel. Experience in the interrogation of databases, ideally using Oracle SQL, would be advantageous. Full details of this role are on the HESA website.

This role would suit a motivated individual either looking to develop their career in an analytical role, or someone who already has experience in a data environment who is possibly looking for a move into the higher education sector.

The salary range for this post is £22,500k - £30,000k pro-rata, dependent on skills and experience. 

We offer an attractive package with 25 days leave pro-rata, plus bank holidays flexible working including UK based remote and home working options and occupational health support.

We have both full-time and part-time options available.
